Located in the heart of Magoun Square in Somerville, Pini's Pizzeria is a great little pizza joint on Broadway. While the shop doesn’t have a sit-down dining room, their claim to fame is their fast and courteous delivery and stellar NYC-style pizza pies made with fresh meats and cheeses. Craving something non-traditional? Try Pini's gourmet pizzas like the Roasted Red Pepper-roni or the Zsa Zsa (white pizza).

Inspiration for the ill-fated TV sitcom “Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place,” Theo’s Pizzeria isn’t as snazzy as its fictionalized “Beacon Street Pizza” counterpart. However, this Teele Square staple serves up a mean pepperoni pizza pie and a tasty selection of hot and cold sandwiches. White Sport offers an eclectic selection of atypical sides including broccoli bites, stuffed olives and fried graviolis. The cook is from Greece so try their traditional Mediteranean plates including the gyro or souvlaki dinners. Also, their Brazilian gourmet pizza (which includes bacon, pepperoni and chicken) is oddly tasty.

Dial-a-Pizza takes phone orders for pizzas and delivers promptly to dorms ($8 minimum), though you will have to meet them at the House entrance or closest Yard gate. Surpassing Tommy's and most take-out, Dial-a-Pizza offers a variety of pizzas deliciously topped with the traditional as well as experimental tidbits; close to 50 toppings include pesto, salsa, and feta. Specialty pizzas—such as the Carnivore or Mediterranean—make for a tasty meal. Large cheese $10, every additional topping $2. If you live in the area, pick up a large cheese pie for a mere $7.
