Pellecchia, 55, is assistant principal at the East Somerville Community School. He says he decorates his house to entertain the neighborhood kids, but because there is not enough time on the 45-minute Illuminations Tour for it to pass by his Wallace Street home, not many others know about his efforts. Lights wrapped around a tree in his yard extend to the tips of its boughs, forming a canopy of lights that extends over the street. Thousands of little white lights contrast the colorful plastic crèche figures in his yard. He has draped his white picket fence with green garland.
